A walk down Wall St. with a video camera.
This film was shot by walking up and down the street while pointing the the Sony EX-1 Video Camera at people as I passed by. I walked down the sidewalk with my head down to watch the viewfinder. The large camera and its movement made clear it was filming all participants. The camera seeks confrontation from its passive subject. The subjects experience suspicion but also, confirmation of ego from the camera. They suspect and pass judgement on the filmmaker, the camera, and the audience. Their existence is consecrated by the camera, and the filmed subject experiences ranging fantasies of ego confirmation bias and wish fulfillment.
